Shaftesbury Icanho is a non-residential highly specialist community based brain injury rehabilitation service. The demand for our service is growing and we are looking to expand our team.
Icanho's client base is 100% acquired brain injury including stroke. Our clinical work is undertaken as an interdisciplinary team and physiotherapy is an integral and valued part of that work.
This role is an excellent development opportunity for someone with an interest in neuro-rehabilitation. You will be working alongside our small team of experienced specialist physiotherapists to deliver client centred rehabilitation, 1:1 and group interventions and at the same time continually building your skills and knowledge.

Main duties of the job
With support from specialist physiotherapists, to provide physiotherapy assessment and interventions for rehabilitation of clients following the consequences of Acquired Brain Injury including Stroke, involving and working with carers and families as appropriate.
Set smart goals and write timely reports in line with service policy maintaining the highest standards of clinical record keeping utilising our EPR SystmOne.
Participate actively in the interdisciplinary and multi-agency meetings concerning the delivery and development of the clinical service for clients, and to provide specialist consultation, supervision and advice to other disciplines.
Take responsibility for the supervision of rehabilitation assistants, and PT students, with support from colleagues.
Develop and take part in educational sessions for carers, families and other agencies as required, and participate in internal education, case reviews and peer support
Act as key worker as required in relation to individual clients
Play an integral part in the evaluation, development and integration of evidence based practice, including relevant technology, within the PT department and wider service with opportunity to contribute to the overall direction and development of the PT department and interdisciplinary service.
