Make a difference in your community. Help us build compassionate networks of support for bereaved children and young people.

Acorns Childrens Hospice are looking for a Community Partnership Worker for our Worcester hospice to develop a peer support programme and youth leadership programme, with the aim to increase grief literacy. Youll also work closely with schools and community organisations to ensure they are equipped to support bereaved siblings.

As a Community Partnership Worker, you will:

    Map community assets across Acorns regions 

    Be responsible for the creation of resources covering topics which matter most to young people.

    Facilitate workshops and focus groups to promote a public health approach to palliative and end-of-life care.

    Identify external funding opportunities through collaborative partnerships.

    Establish and maintain strong relationships with our communities

About you

    Experience in the development of community partnerships

    Able to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders

    Strong understanding of asset-based community development/compassionate communities principles and practices

    Competent IT skills

 

Were driven by childrens needs, so you should be able to travel independently across the region

    £26,000- £27,000 per annum (FTE)

    30 hours per week

    Based in our Three Counties Hospice (WR5 3EZ)

You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role. We are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and therefore any successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check for children and will be asked to provide two satisfactory references.  In addition, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of immunisation against specific diseases or confirm their willingness to receive the necessary vaccinations.
