Job summary

Are you looking to use your retail skills in a role that makes a real difference? St Lukes Hospice is seeking a Deputy Manager Support to assist in running our charity shops across Sheffield. Youll help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our stores, working closely with Shop Managers and volunteers to maximise sales and support our vital care services.

Main duties of the job

As Deputy Manager Support, youll play a key role in helping our shops succeed. Youll: Step in to manage shops in the absence of the Shop Manager. Support volunteers to provide excellent customer service. Help achieve sales targets by overseeing stock management and shop presentation. Ensure that health and safety, security, and administrative procedures are followed.

  • Previous experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Experience of maintaining administrative procedures
  • Previous experience of managing staff or volunteers
  • Have previous knowledge of recruiting, training and motivating volunteers or employees.
  • Previous knowledge of financial guidelines and an ability to follow hospice financial guidelines

  • Previous experience gained within a retail/customer facing role
