The postholder
will work collectively with the Chief Executive and the Executive Team in the
development and delivery of the above, and in particular the Director of People
and Wellbeing will have responsibility for the Valuing our people strategic
theme; for embedding the values into the working life of St Lukes, its culture
and behaviours; and for establishing the framework for the workforce to deliver
the ambitions within these plans.

This role
provides strong, visible, strategic leadership, effective management and expert
professional advice enabling us to provide high quality patient centred
services to patients and their families under the care of our nursing services
including Community Team, In-Patient Centre, Active Intervention Centre and
Transfer of Care.
This is a
combined role with managerial and clinical responsibilities.
C. Overall Purpose of the RoleResponsible
for the management of a portfolio of services and teams delivering high quality
clinical administration across the organisation and ensuring
effective support and timely responses in accordance with agreed governance
framework.
The management and coaching of team leads and team members to
ensure delivery of services and the motivation, development and well-being of
all clinical administrators.
D. Key
Responsibilities
Responsible
for (& not limited to) the management of:
o
Clinical
Admin Team (CAT)
Responsible
for all aspects of people management in line with HR Policy and procedures.
This will include recruitment, learning & development, coaching and well-being
needs. The role holder will set and review of objectives as well as undertake formal
appraisals and performance reviews for first reports.
Ensuring
the proactive and professional management of the relationship with all
stakeholders for each service with the emphasis on regular and transparent
communication. This will include the setting of service levels and/or key performance
indicators and these will be reported on and reviewed regularly.
Ensuring
all processes that relate to governance requirements are tightly and
effectively managed, constantly looking for ways to continuously improve.
Responsible
for ensuring the management, analysis and presentation of accurate and timely
data for use in all reporting. This will include internal and external governance
frameworks and any ad hoc reporting requests.
Regularly
review all processes across the Clinical Admin services team to identify and
implement initiatives to improve services and identify cost savings in
collaboration and with attention to organisational strategy and internal and
external governance.
Having
a thorough understanding of all procedures and systems in use and who is the
lead support for each. Ensuring there is appropriate documentation, training
and templates for any systems in use by teams; and that there is accurate data security
in accordance with GDPR and ISO27001 across all services. Identifying where
there are additional system needs and making a business case for these.
To
work closely with senior managers and clinical leads to ensure that all
activities of the Admin Services team contributes to the organisational
strategy. Identifying opportunities, initiatives and recruitment needs to
positively influence organisational strategy and enhance the smooth running of
the Clinical Admin operations. This will include seeking ways in which teams
can work more collaboratively and increasing overlap between functions to
support the organisational aims.
Responsible
for all Clinical Admin budgets, ensuring the optimum use of resources and
establishing and maintaining effective financial management processes.
To
have a strong awareness and commitment to sustainability and net zero. To
ensure the Clinical Admin team adhere to and contribute to any associated organisational
directives of policies that are implemented.
To
be a leader and an ambassador within the team and to embed St Lukes values and
behaviours.

reporting associated with this role as the organisation changes in the future.
