alcohol support services, so its easier for people to find and get the help they need.
Each organisation brings its own set of specialisms to the Alliance, and we also have a very
strong peer support team. This means every individual can have the right help to get where
they want to be at every step, and it means we can easily further develop services as
required.
The Alliance is made up of Kaleidoscope, Recovery Cymru, Barod and, uniquely, the
commissioning body Cardiff and Vale Substance Misuse Area Planning Board and has a
strategic partnership with G4S.
The Alliance Manager is a key appointment. They are, in effect, the Chief Operating Officer for
CAVDAS, leading a complex set of operations with multiple interfaces. We are seeking an
inspiring, organised and focused individual who is highly skilled and capable to lead the
CAVDAS Alliance in transforming the way that Substance (Mis)use Services are delivered in
Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan.
The Alliance Manager is responsible for leading and facilitating the Alliance service delivery
and management team on behalf of the Alliance Leadership Team.
Main duties of the job
Leadership:Mentoring and inspiring employees
to key into the Alliance vision and
establishing effective programme
management structures to ensure
outcomes are tracked and
achieved.
Performance, Finance and Contract Management:
Overseeing the delivery and
compliance of the Alliance contract
and any sub-contractual
obligations in conjunction with ALT
and AMT.
Service Management:
Ensuring the smooth development
and operation of CAVDAS service
provision and protocols, and that
Alliance principles are
demonstrated and embraced by the
workforce
Networking and Communication:
Managing how the Alliance is
perceived internally by partners,
and externally by those using
services and other stakeholders.
Ensure all activity holds fidelity to
the overarching Alliance principles.

budgets, monitor spend, and provide written quarterly
finance position reports to the ALT
