Oldham Family Practice is a
well-established practice serving a weighted list population of around 4,200 patients based within the Oldham Central
locality. At Oldham Family Practice we are seeking to recruit a dedicated and
compassionate Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive team for 6 sessions
a week. We are practice with a strong ethos of continuity of patient care,
teamwork and peer support working in areas of high deprivation committed to
tackling health inequalities.
We have both face-to-face and
on-line clinics, as well as home visits, same day care and routine
appointments. Our GPs have admin time structured into the working day. Our
appointment requests are managed via a structured total triage model, primarily
managed by a dedicated clinician with administration support. We are also a GP
trainee practice.

Provide a full range of medical services as defined in the
core GMS contract, additional and enhanced services where appropriate.
Provide other personal medical services to meet identified
patients need.
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to
presenting problems whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare
professionals within the organisation.
Assess the healthcare needs of patients with
undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of
illness.
Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients
and in line with current practice; disease management protocols, provide
counselling and health education.

- Not be suspended from practice by the NHS or from the GMCs list of medical practitioners.
- Not be subject to any interim suspension orders from the GMC under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Hold appropriate medical indemnity insurance covering all professional duties.
- Successfully complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development as required
