Job summary

eMed is looking for enthusiastic, motivated ANPs to provide an excellent clinical service in our face-to-face GP at Hand NHS clinics. We are looking for ANPs who are qualified to practice in the UK to work in our state-of-the-art London clinics.

We have a wonderful team of multidisciplinary staff (which includes reception staff, nurses, HCAs, physiotherapists and GPs) and we welcome the opportunity to further broaden our clinic family.

In addition to offering face-to-face appointments across the full spectrum of primary care, the successful candidate will be providing a Fitting and Removal service of LNG-IUDs for non-contraceptive indications where appropriate as part of the 2024/25 Northwest London ICB Enhanced Service offer. Pending further discussions with commissioners, we are keen to expand this service to include the full scope of LARC provision and primary care Womens Health.

You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, including the provision of performing IUD/coil fittings. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and forward thinking primary care environment.

Main duties of the job

  • You will assist with both the day to day functioning and the future development of our UK clinical service.

  • Fitting and Removal service of LNG-IUDs for non-contraceptive indications where appropriate as part of the 2024/25 Northwest London ICB Enhanced Service offer
  • You will be able to prescribe a wide range of medications across a number of different conditions and presents
  • You will be responsible for your own clinical portfolio and maintaining your own scope of practice.

  • IUD/Coil Fitting Experience: Demonstrated experience in fitting IUDs, with appropriate training and competencies in this area.
  • Independent Nurse Prescriber or non medical prescribing qualification
  • Minimum 2-years experience post level 7 qualifications in primary care
  • Ability to see and treat patients with varying acute and chronic conditions
  • Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery of primary care services including General Practice, the GMS/PMS contract, Clinical Governance, Quality & Outcomes Framework
  • Understanding of evidence based practice
  • Ability to assess and manage patient risk effectively and safely
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Reflective practitioner

Desirable:

  • Specialist Training in Contraception and Sexual Health: Additional qualifications in sexual health or family planning e.g., Family Planning Association Certification.
  • Leadership or Mentorship Experience: Experience in mentoring junior nursing staff or leading clinical initiatives.
  • Additional Clinical Skills: Knowledge of other minor procedures and women's health services such as cervical screening and implants.
