Job summary

Practice - We are a single-site training practice located in Lightwater, close to Camberley and Bagshot. We have a rising list size, currently 15,400. We pride ourselves on providing excellent face to face clinical care, without using triage, mainly using GPs and practice nurses. Patient access is excellent. We scored Good on our last CQC visit and have performed very well on recent NHS patient surveys. We have a very stable workforce, most of our staff have been with us for many years. We are part of Surrey Heath PCN and the practice is within the Frimley ICB.

Job summary - We are looking for a highly skilled, innovative and motivated practice manager to lead the team. The practice manager will ensure efficient management of our resources, will ensure delivery of top quality clinical care and development of the future practice. You will be responsible for overseeing finances, managing staff, developing the practice and enhancing our service.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities

  1. StrategyLead the practice in strategic and operational planning, ensuring alignment with our long term goals.Drive change management to enhance practice performance and clinical care.Prepare and present business development plans to the partners.

  2. Personnel managementManage HR operations, ensure staff are supported, trained, motivated and able to perform to the best of their abilities.Manage IT resources.Ensure smooth daily operations enabling patients to access high quality care.

  3. Resource management Monitor and manage financial resources, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting and maximising income.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accurate timely submission of claims and financial records.Manage premises addressing issues with facilities promptly.

  4. Quality clinical improvementEnsure compliance with CQC standards and all other clinical governance requirements.Monitor and audit practice activities, implementing corrective actions to maintain high quality care.

  5. Additional dutiesUndertake other reasonable duties as requested by partners to maintain service delivery.

About us

Busy but friendly training general practice. We work on a single site in Lightwater. There are currently 9 GPs, 6 practice nurses and 14 admin staff. We train student nurses, GP trainees and medical students. We have close relationships with other local practices via the Surrey Heath PCN and are part of Frimley ICB.
