in Liverpool, providing care to over 9,200 patients. We are committed to
delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to our local community. We are
seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our multidisciplinary team.
The
successful candidate will play a key role in improving the quality of patient
care through effective medicines management, repeat prescribing processes and
medicine optimisation. You will support
the primary care team, assist with medication reviews, contribute to safe and cost-effective
prescribing while ensuring adherence to best practice

- Managing repeat prescriptions and medicines reconciliation
- Supporting medication reviews and patient adherence
- Assisting with prescribing audits and medicines optimisation
- Providing advice to patients and ensuring compliance with policies

Our team includes 5 partners, 3 salaried GPs, 4 Registrars,
ANP, 2 Practice Nurses, HCA, Physiotherapist, Practice Manager, Reception

Job Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician you will play a key role in improving the quality of patient care through effective medicines management, repeat prescribing processes and medicine optimisation. You will support the primary care team, assist with medication reviews, contribute to safe and cost-effective prescribing while ensuring adherence to best practice
Key Responsibilities
- Repeat Prescribing
- Manage repeat prescription requests, ensuring timely processing and clinical checks.
- Maintain accurate records and liaise with patients about prescription queries.
- Medicines Optimisation
- Support GPs and clinicians in reviewing medication use.
- Conduct medicines reconciliation after hospital discharge or care transfer.
- Assist in long-term condition management by optimising medication regimes.
- Patient Support
- Provide information to patients about safe medicine use.
- Handle medication-related queries and promote adherence.
- Clinical Governance & Safety
- Participate in audits, quality improvement projects, and prescribing safety initiatives.
- Help practices meet Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) targets.
