Job summary

Nurse Associates are a vital and growing part of the general practice team, working alongside GPs, Practice Nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. In this role, youll support the assessment, planning, and delivery of care for our patientsrunning clinics, undertaking clinical observations, supporting long-term condition management, and being a reassuring, familiar face in the practice.

Main duties of the job

As a Nurse Associate in General Practice, you will play a key role in supporting the clinical team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-focused care. Your day-to-day work will include undertaking clinical observations and health assessments, providing wound care and basic clinical procedures, and supporting the management of long-term conditions in line with agreed care plans and protocols.

You will contribute to health promotion and prevention activities, offer advice and reassurance to patients, and help monitor and escalate concerns appropriately. Working closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, you will ensure accurate clinical documentation, support smooth patient flow, and help maintain high standards of care and patient experience.

  • * At least 1 year of working in a primary care environment
  • * Ability to work effectively as a team player under appropriate supervision and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
