Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic GP to join our team to work 4 - 6 sessions per week; all of our staff work either a Monday or a Friday so candidates would be expected to have one of these days as part of their set sessions.
Main duties of the job

session = 1250 minutes
We
may on occasion ask if it is possible to move your sessions (with
notice) to meet the business need to provide safe care across the week during
times of high absence to support colleagues.
Duty Sessions
Duty
sessions will be allocated proportionately between Partners and Salaried GPs
working each week, where possible we try to ensure that the sessions are
split between AM and PM. Duty sessions are defined as follows and require you
to be on site:
AM:
0800-1300PM:
1300-1800
Admin
All
of our appointment are 15minutes, allowing for most admin to be completed
within the appointment time, additionally you have the support of a secretarial
team. For each duty session you cover you will be provided with an additional 60
mins of admin time within the next 5 working days (based on clinical cover)
to compensate.
Teaching
We
are a teaching practice and currently have Year 3, 4 & 5 medical students,
as well as F2, ST1-3 trainees. We also support nursing student placements. All
GPs at the practice are expected to participate in training of students and
trainees, from them sitting in on clinics to supervising their patients and
answering queries whilst on duty.
Breaks
Each
AM session has a 30 minute break between 10-1030 for coffee/catch up in the
common room.
Lunch is between 1-2pm in the common room for lunch. Occasionally
there will be meetings during this time which you would be expected to attend
and these can be classed as CPD
