Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

This is a new position to ensure that there is a manager responsible for purely the day-to-day/patient-facing operation of Martonside Medical Centre. They are expected to show initiative by identifying operational problems and potential new solutions/developments and then generating proposals for how they could be implemented.

Main duties of the job

To manage the patient-facing operation of Martonside Medical Centre. The job-holder will need to respond to the day-to-day challenges of the practice and ensure that optimum solutions are arrived at. They will have a major role in supporting the reception/admin teams to ensure that processes are efficient and delivering the best possible service to the patient.

In conjunction with the Management Partner, the job-holder will ensure that new technology is adopted to support the smooth operation of the organisation.

About us

Martonside Medical Centre is run by the Ironopolis Medical Group. This partnership also runs The Endeavour Practice. This means that some functions such as finance, HR and coding are centralised and managed at group level, leaving the Operations Manager to focus on the day-to-day patient-facing issues. We believe the traditional practice manager role is now too large for one person and hence we have changed our structure to reflect this.

Our sister practice, The Endeavour, has its own Operations Manager, so there is an excellent opportunity to work together and share ideas with someone in the same role. You will report directly to the Management Partner, who historically had a traditional practice management role.

Martonside had a CQC inspection in November 2024 and whilst we await their report, they have agreed that we can put in this advert that "no concerns were identified". Martonside was rated as "Good" at their previous inspection in 2016.
