Job summary
Rock Court Surgery has an opportunity for a Health Care
Assistant. Experience of General Practice is desirable but not essential as
training can be given.
We are looking for up 25 - 30 hours per week, across 4 days (ideally
Tuesdays to Fridays)
The post is to support and develop our Practice Nurse team,
with particular focus on contributing to chronic disease reviews, health
checks, blood pressure and pulse monitoring, diet and lifestyle advice, adult
immunisations, B12 injections, and capturing physical health measurements. The
role will also include supporting the whole clinical team to ensure smooth
running of chronic disease clinics and patient recall systems, plus health
promotion and campaigns.
Rock Court is a long-established GP training Practice, with
a strong ethos of team working and providing a supportive work environment.
Main duties of the job
Particular focus on contributing to chronic disease reviews,
health checks, blood pressure and pulse monitoring, foot checks, diet and
lifestyle advice to support weight management and healthy living, adult
immunisations, B12 injections, and capturing physical health measurements.
The role will also include supporting the whole clinical
team to ensure smooth running of chronic disease clinics and patient recall
systems, plus health promotion and campaigns.
We would benefit from support with phlebotomy
About us
Rock Court Surgery has 2 GP Partners, 5 salaried GPs, 1
ANP, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Nurse Associate, 1 HCA and 7 Reception/Admin team
members. Our Practice list size is approximately 5600.
The practice is part of the iGPc Primary Care Network which
includes 7 other Practices. As part of the PCN, we have access to Pharmacists
(prescribing and non-prescribing), pharmacy technicians, care co-ordinators,
social prescribers, paramedics and First Contact Physiotherapists.
