We have an opportunity for a highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our friendly team.
To facilitate effective communication between the patients, carer's and members of the primary care team - to help make a difference in patient care.
The Surgery is based in a modern purpose built building with three other GP Practices, with ample free parking facilities.

Main duties of the job
To offer general
assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to
patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone in order to help deal with and support any patient enquiry.
To accept, assist and
direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional
in an efficient and effective manner.
To be able to undertake varies administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice
including secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff
and work with other members of the practice team to provide this
Facilitate
effective communication between patients, members the primary health care team,
secondary care and any other associated healthcare agencies.

We are a small friendly practice team that consists of one GP, Practice Manager, One Practice Nurse, reception staff, and associated roles of Clinical Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, and other new services attached to the Practice.
We strive as a Practice Team to reach our targets in relation to patient care and the monitoring of long term conditions.

Taking messages and passing on information
Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines
Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and

Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other
team member and associated healthcare agencies and providers
Providing clerical assistance to practice and associated staff as required
from time to time, including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and
scanning
