Job summary

We are a small rural dispensing practice and are looking for a highly motivational individual to manage and coordinate all aspects of the practice.

Through innovative ways of working you will lead the team in promoting quality and continuous improvement, confidentiality, collaborative working, service delivery, learning and development and ensure the practice complies with CQC regulations.

Main duties of the job

Working alongside the local PCN, holding and attending meetings, completing audits and completing the overall management of the premises and staff.

About us

We are a very friendly team, everyone works part-time so has a good work life balance. We have 2 GPs and 2 Practice Nurses. There is a Secretary, all reception staff also complete admin tasks. It is a busy surgery, but that is how we like it.

  • Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills

Desirable

  • Educated to degree level in healthcare or business
  • Leadership and/or management qualification
  • AMSPAR qualification

Experience

  • Experience of working with the general public
  • Experience of managing accounting procedures including budget and cash flow forecasting
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting
  • Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience of performance management including appraisal writing, staff development and disciplinary procedures
  • Experience of successfully developing and implementing projects
  • Experience of workforce planning, forecasting and development
  • NHS/primary care general practice experience

  • Relevant health and safety experience
