We are a large PCN covering Nuneaton and Bedworth, with 16 member practices which supports a population of over 120,000 patients.We are looking to build on our
established PCN Workforce and to recruit 3 Trainee Nurse Associates
to join our team.
You will work as an active member of the multidisciplinary team supported by RGNs and other practice-based clinicians. You will deliver care within the boundaries of your role, focussing on identification and monitoring of long-term conditions and the enhancement of patient access to care.
This is a 2 year developmental role. As an apprentice you will work towards progression into the post of Nursing Associate, through successful completion of the Nurse Associate training programme, which includes the attainment of a level 5 Foundation Degree equivalent qualification. The Nurse Associate apprenticeship combines both academic and work-based learning in their clinical workplace. You will also experience working in alternative settings on bespoke placements, to fulfil all the requirements of the programme, and registration will be with the NMC.
Main duties of the job
You will have an understanding of the
nursing process and be able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes
of care to improve health and well-being and meet the healthcare needs of
individuals and groups after initial training at University.
You will be an integral part of the nursing team within a practice and link in with other roles, for example Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and Care Coordinators.
About us
We are a growing Primary Care Network (PCN) that currently employs in excess of 40 PCN staff across a number of roles including Pharmacists, Mental Health Practitioners, Dietitians, Physician Associates, First Contact Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers, Care Coordinators and Health and Wellbeing Coaches.
We work very closely with our 16 member practices to ensure that our PCN staff are supported and valued.
We are a dynamic and forward-thinking PCN with several projects already up and running to support patient care and a number of others currently in the planning/implementation phases. Some of these include partnership working with organisations within the locality.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday during normal surgery opening hours and we offer access to the NHS Superannuation pension scheme.

Registered Nurse, support the organisation and facilitation of clinical care in
a holistic and proactive manner to patients registered at the member practices.
To
maintain a high professional standard of nursing care in adherence to all
Practice protocols/policies & guidelines, as well as to provide nursing assistance
to the GPs and other members of the primary healthcare team.
The
role of the Trainee Nurse Associate needs to be flexible in line with the
present atmosphere for change within the health service delivery. It is

competency and expand her/his role in accordance with practice requirements and
own scope of practice.
