Job summary

A new exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, patient focussed, experienced HCA to join our growing team 3 days a week having a varied mix of clinical patient facing work and supporting the admin team.

Main duties of the job

As part of your duties you will offer a range of diagnostic and therapeutic services including phlebotomy, ECGs, 24 hour BP monitors, Dressings, injections, Diabetic Health Checks &NHS health checks and assist with practice administration; referrals, registrations / de-registrations.

We're based in the beautiful, rural town of Cranbrook, Kent and are housed in a historic converted school building. We provide a service to 6000 patients under the terms of a general medical services (GMS)contract. Our staff is made up of two GP partners, two salaried GP, a practice nurse, a practice manager, a finance manager, dispensers, operational and administration staff. We are apart of a wider GP federation, West Kent Primary Care and form a part of the Weald Primary Care Network.

Our mission is to provide a high quality service to patients and to be a well regarded practice in the community and aspire to grow in a safe and controlled way.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths

Desirable

  • Experience working as a HCA in general practice would be a distinct advantage. However, we would be willing to provide training to applicants who have already obtained or are in the process of obtaining qualifications and professional competencies required for the role. The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and computer skills along with the ability to multi-task and to work both independently and within a team.
