General Practitioner

Job summary
Due to a reduction in hours within our existing team, we are looking for a part-time permanent Salaried GP to join us this summer for 4-6 sessions per week.
We offer a friendly and very supportive atmosphere to work in despite the challenges of primary care.
We pride ourselves on the fact that we have been able to address the work life balance with a full complement of doctors and a wonderful team to support them. This post is to maintain that balance as one of our Partners is reducing his sessions and this has created a Partnership opportunity for our current Salaried GP.
We are very happy to arrange informal visits to the surgery to chat to the Partners and rest of the team to enable you to make a decision based on your impressions of us, the building and the general atmosphere. We consider this is just as important as understanding your responsibilities and why we have a happy team.
Main duties of the job
- The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entire population and to undertake a variety of duties. These will include F2F consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.

- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks

- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
