Job summary

We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated GP Receptionist (experience is advantageous) to join our practice situated in South Woodford, in the London Borough of Redbridge.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an EMIS Web trained receptionist responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception/admin duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team.

Duties can include but are not limited to:

  • greeting and directing patients,
  • effective use of the appointment system,
  • booking appointments,
  • processing of information and assisting patients as required.
  • To act as one of the main point of contact for patients
  • The distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team
  • Liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
We aim to maintain a high standard of patient care and this should depict in each and every action of every team member.

About us

Glebelands Practice is a forward-thinking training practice of over 6000 patients. Our warm and friendly surgery is led by two GP partners, and doctors and has a diverse multi-disciplinary team consisting of nurses, pharmacists, first contact physiotherapists and health care assistants. The practice is also supported and managed by a strong and experienced team headed up by the practice manager and supported by the practice leads, admin and reception staff.

  5. Documentation Management:Scan, photocopy, and file documents, attaching relevant paperwork to patient records to maintain comprehensive and organised files.

  6. Handling Queries:Manage requests for information, including Subject Access Requests and other documentation, directing them to the administrative team as needed.

  7. Support for Clinical Staff:Assist clinical team members with general tasks and help set up clinics, enabling them to focus on patient care.

  • or
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy NVQ level 3 in relevant subject or equivalent level of proven experience
