Job summary
We
are seeking a highly motivated and experienced GP Practice Manager to oversee
the daily operations of our busy Favell Plus GP Surgery. The successful
candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the practice,
managing staff, overseeing finances, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Main duties of the job
Operational
Management: Oversee the daily running of the practice, ensuring efficiency and
compliance with NHS regulations and CQC standards.
Financial
Management- Manage practice finances, including budgets, payroll, and NHS
claims, ensuring financial sustainability.
HR
& Staffing: Recruit, train, and manage practice staff, ensuring a
supportive and efficient working environment.
Patient
Services- Maintain high standards of patient care and satisfaction, handling
complaints and feedback professionally.
Regulatory
Compliance- Ensure compliance with NHS policies, CQC requirements, GDPR, and
health and safety regulations.
IT
& Systems Management- Oversee practice IT systems, ensuring security and
efficiency in patient records and appointment systems.
Strategic
Development- Identify opportunities for service improvement, innovation, and
business development in line with NHS and local healthcare objectives.

The practice is situated within the Weston Favell Primary Care Centre in the Eastern District of Northampton. The centre offers a wide range of additional services such as physiotherapy, podiatry, leg ulcer clinic, midwifery, phlebotomy (taking blood) and dental services.
