Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Secretary/Receptionist to join our team at Frizinghall Medical Centre. The ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a team and will have already worked in a similar position in general practice, have excellent IT and administrative skills and be familiar with the Systm1 clinical system. You will work closely with the practice manager performing secretarial and other administrative duties.

Main duties of the job

Your main duties will include processing patient referrals to the relevant secondary care providers, scanning, summarising and dealing with patient queries. Other tasks will include supporting the doctors, practice manager and other clinical staff as well as dealing with incoming NHS mail, prescription requests and covering all reception duties as and when required. Maintaining patient records, communicating with staff and patients and other ad hoc duties are all part of this interesting and varied job role.

About us

Our GP partners have 2 practices in the Bradford area heading up a team of experienced, committed and friendly health professionals. This new post will be an integral part of that team and we are looking for a medical secretary/receptionist who is flexible, friendly, helpful, polite and confident. The working atmosphere is relaxed but hard working and everyone pulls together for the care and safety of our patients and staff. Ideally full time but part time will also be considered.
