General practitioner
This job is now closed
Job summary
We are replacing our senior partner, who is stepping down into peri-retirement. We would look to appoint to a fixed-term salaried partner contract for a 6 - 12 month period of mutual appraisal, with conversion to a profit-sharing partnership thereafter.
Flexible time commitment 4 - 6 sessions per week.
We are friendly and democratic. Our ethos has always been that work should be fun and satisfying for the team, and patient-centred and holistic for those whom we serve.
We have a strong focus on continuity of care. Our practice team is traditional: excellent doctors, practice nurses and an HCA; and embracing the support of superb clinical pharmacists from the PCN.
If you want to enjoy your job, look no further.
Main duties of the job
As well as the usual duties of a GP, we have a well-established private minor surgery practice alongside our NHS work (the successful applicant would not be expected to undertake minor surgery but would be fully supported should they be interested).
We embrace portfolio careers (the medical team range between 3 6 sessions per week) and are supportive of the successful candidate developing interests in clinical or educational areas. We are enthusiastic medical generalists with current in-house special expertise encompassing orthopaedic and musculoskeletal medicine, joint injections, dermatology (including dermoscopy), psychological medicine, minor surgery, and the full range of womens health including LARCs fitting. We all value a healthy balance between work and home life.
