Job summary

The Interim CEO will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the ongoing operation of our company, ensuring legal compliance, operational efficiency, and financial viability. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for making evidence-based proposals and recommendations for the future structure and running of the company, as well as developing a long-term strategic plan and annual business plan.

Main duties of the job

The purpose of the Interim CEO role is threefold:

1. To lead and oversee the ongoing operation of the company; ensuring it is legally compliant, safe, effective, and financially viable in its current form

2. To make detailed, evidence-based proposals and recommendations for the future structure and running of the company

3. To develop an agreed long-term strategic plan and first annual business plan for company

About us

South Dales Healthcare Ltd (SDHL) is a dynamic healthcare organisation dedicated to providing innovative and forward-thinking services to meet the diverse needs of our community. Established on 1st April 2022, we are committed to delivering high-quality care that is safe, effective, and personalised to each individual's needs.

SDHL and its partner Practices provide primary care and community health services to a population of around 34,000 people. We are responsible for delivering services across 5 locations, led by our directorate. The company employs around 30 members of staff at the Headquarters, and as a Network together we employ c150. In 2022-2023 we turned over £1,516,443.

We are driven by a shared commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. We are constantly seeking new ways to enhance the patient experience, improve outcomes, and drive positive change in our community. SDHL serves its community through collaboration, compassion, and a focus on excellence.

The purpose of the company is to improve health outcomes for the people of the Derbyshire South Dales (and beyond where appropriate) and to contribute to the sustainability of the Practices represented by the shareholders. We do this through delivery of services on behalf of practices as required by the PCN DES and the provision of other clinical or related services where gaps, opportunities or inequalities exist.
