Job summary

We are growing our busy reception & administration team and are looking for an organised, approachable and calm person to join our friendly and supportive team.

The successful candidate will have the ability to understand the differing needs of others and be able to prioritise these within their own workload; be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills; have a good attention to detail and to keep up to speed within an evolving environment; enjoy working as part of a team whilst also having the confidence to work independently.

We will provide full training and ongoing career development in the role.

Weekly schedule

Monday 2pm to 6.30pm

Tuesday day off

Wednesday 2pm to 6.30pm

Thursday 2pm to 6.30pm

Friday 2pm to 6.30pm

Reliable attendance and timekeeping are essential and some flexibility to cover different shifts as overtime would be desirable.

Main duties of the job

Main receptionist duties are:

- Responding to incoming patient inquiries in person, by telephone or via email.

- Booking appointments with appropriate clinician.

- Managing the appointment book, signing patients in as arrived, advising on any necessary details relating to the appointment.

- Allocating prescription requests to clinicians.

- Liaising with external organisations on behalf of patients and clinicians such as following up on hospital referrals.

- Registering new patients.

Once confident in the above there are lots more opportunities to further develop in a variety of administration roles suited to your strengths.

To assist and support clinical staff in the efficient organisation of the clinics and surgeries.
