An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Berinsfield Health Centre as our
Practice Manager. We are a thriving, dynamic surgery,
giving outstanding patient care and rated in the top 3 practices in SE England
for patient satisfaction in 2023.
We are keen to find an individual who
shares our passion for Primary Care and will help guide us through the next few
years of change:
- the patient list
size will double over the next 5 years with the expansion of Berinsfield
Village,
- the building of a
new surgery to accommodate our changing needs.
You will
need to be a strong communicator, able to work independently with excellent
organisational and communication skills.
As a key
member of the Management Team, you will be expected to demonstrate the
leadership qualities required to motivate staff, lead change, deliver against
targets and contribute to the continuous improvement and ever-changing NHS
environment.
While
previous experience in primary care management is not necessary for this
position, candidates without prior experience should be able to prove their
knowledge and skills are transferable.

This job

be exclusive but serves to illustrate the scope of the role. The Practice
Manager will have oversight of practice activities and be accountable for all
non-clinical matters within the practice and will report directly to the GP
partners.
Working
with the Partners to develop the Practice business plan including change
management and shape strategic objectives, leading on performance against
these. Overseeing the increase in patient list size and the build of our new
surgery.
Responsible
for the financial management of the Practice and ensuring ongoing financial
stability.
Understanding
the Practice role within the local health service and the community, and
interpreting major policy changes, external issues, and emerging new trends, to
identify factors which may impact on Practice performance and service delivery.
Working
at a strategic level representing the Practice in healthcare policy discussions
and developing partnerships with external bodies to ensure an effective service
to support the health of patients.
Responsible
for the performance and success in clinical standards and practice, patient
safety and clinical quality.
Ensuring
that full managerial and administrative support is provided to the partnership.
Overseeing
strategic aspects of the business including collaborative working with the
Primary Care Network
Overseeing
all GP partnership matters
Managing
HR
Ensuring
the Practice is compliant with the GMS contract, CQC and ICB requirements.
