We have an opportunity to create new ways of working to support Primary Care within our friendly, forward-thinking Primary Care Network. Newport & Central PCN is evolving with scope for further development as we expand.
We are currently looking for a highly detailed individual to support the PCN Network Manager and Clinical Director in all aspects of PCN operational functionality to motivate and manage staff, optimise efficiency and overall performance and ensure the PCN achieves its long term operational objectives.
Interviews for this role will take place on Thursday 22nd May 2025 - with shortlisting taking place on Wednesday 14th May 2025.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, detail-driven Operational Lead to support day-to-day operational delivery across our practice-based teams, delivering services against key performance indicators of the PCN Network Contract and other key network service areas. For this reason, the role will form an integral part of the PCN leadership team, working alongside the Clinical Director, Network Manager and senior leadership team.
The role will place a strong emphasis on maintaining and increasing operational efficiencies and safety measures and will be based at the PCN offices in Shawbirch, with the requirement to attend meetings at locations around the network area.
We have a full-time vacancy available with flexible working (within core practice hours: 8:30am- 5:00pm Monday - Friday). We offer a competitive salary with NHS Pension.

Newport & Central PCN is a network of 4 GP Practices with a combined population of over 61,000 patients. These include Linden Hall Surgery and Wellington Road Surgery in Newport and Donnington Medical Practice and Shawbirch Medical Centre in Telford.
