Job summary
We are looking to recruit either an advanced clinical
practitioner or a paramedic to join our well-established practice. You will
work autonomously and will be a key member of our urgent care team.
The post has become available due to a planned retirement.
Our surgery operates on a total triage model with 15 mins
appointment slots for the urgent care team.
Typically, youll be seeing patients who have requested an
urgent/same day appointment. You will be providing assessment and management
advice for new medical problem only (not follow ups).
Main duties of the job
Working closely
with GP colleagues, the cores responsibilities for the urgent care team are;
Providing
assessment, treatment, screening and advice to patients presenting with minor
illnesses and urgent care needs.
Dealing
with minor illness and injury and experience in diagnosing prescribing and
referring.
There
will be the requirement to conduct some home visits.
Participate in the administrative and
professional responsibilities of the Practice team
Ensure the clinical computer system is kept up
to date with accurate details recorded and amended
Attend and participate in Practice meetings as
required
There may be on
occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks and this will be depending upon
factors such as workload and staffing levels
About us
Courtside Surgery
is situated in the town of Yate with ample parking and amenities close by.
We serve the
community of Yate and surrounding areas. Our patient population is c.15.5k.
You will be part of
a large multi-disciplinary team. We have 6 partners and 5 salaried GPs working
alongside a large clinical and back office team including urgent care team,
nursing team including mental health and physiotherapists.
We consult using
EMIS Web Clinical system with Ardens clinical decision support tool.
Courtside take
great pride in the professional development of our team. We are also a GP
training practice, we endeavour to support both F2 and GP trainees.
We actively
participate in research projects.
Courtside have a
great relationship with our Patient Participation Group.
We are an active member of the Yate and Frampton
Primary Care Network, collaborating with 4 other local surgeries.
