Job summary
The Digital and Transformation Lead will be responsible for driving
innovation, digital transformation, and ensuring a seamless integration of
technology within the GP practice.
This role will support the Practice Manager
and Reception Team Leader in managing the reception and administrative teams,
enhancing patient experience, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
The ideal
candidate will have a strong focus on digital solutions and improving
efficiency across all practice functions.
Full support and training can be provided, if the applicant has not worked within a general practice environment before.
Main duties of the job
- Digital Transformation & Innovation: Lead and drive the
practice, ensuring the integration of new
technology and tools to improve patient experience and internal workflows.
- Digital Systems Management: Oversee the management and
optimization of digital systems such as appointment scheduling, patient
management, ensuring these systems
align with operational needs.
- Patient Access Enhancement: Lead initiatives to
improve patient access to services through digital solutions, including
online appointment booking.
- Support for Practice Staff: Positively provide digital training
and support for all staff, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to
use technology efficiently in their roles.
- Compliance and Data Protection: Ensure compliance with
GDPR. Manage patient and third
party information requests in line with GDPR guidelines.
- CQC Compliance: Support the practice in
maintaining high standards for CQC compliance.
- Liaison with Local Bodies: Act as the primary digital
liaison with local bodies such as the Primary Care Network (PCN) and
Integrated Care Board (ICB).
- Operational Support: Assist the Practice
Manager with management tasks.
- Quality and Outcome Measures (QoF) &
Claims: Work
with the Nurse Lead and QOF Lead to support the completion of practice claims, running necessary searches to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Friends and Family Test (FFT): Ensure the timely
submission of Friends and Family feedback.
