Job summary
We are recruiting a newly qualified GP - the criteria is in
line with the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (qualified within 2 years
of certificate of completion training)
To be eligible for this role, you must be within two years
of certificate of completion of training at the start date of employment and
have not previously held a substantive post as a General Practitioner.
The post holder will work
as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical
services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of
clinical care whilst complying with the contract.
Main duties of the job
As a salaried GP, your will play a crucial role in the
provision of primary healthcare services.
Undertake surgery consultations including face-to-face,
digital, online, telephone
Delivery of Enhance service appointments and same day access.
The delivery of highly effective medical care to the
entitled population
The provision of services commensurate with the primary care
contract.
Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.
Effective management of long-term conditions.
Processing of administration in a timely manner, including
referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative
tasks On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles.
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy
and guidance
Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the
practice workload
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical
guidelines and the audit process
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous
improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or
areas)
Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as
required
Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
Prepare and complete the revalidation process
About us
Our PCN consists of nine practices with a total population
of approx. 46,000 patients. We are situated in central Walsall and we currently
have 21 staff working under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme across
our PCN.
