Job summary

We are seeking to recruit to this key post leading the Reception team at our busy GP practice in Hilton. The Reception Manager will manage and oversee our provision of appointment and patient services, ensuring the provision of a high level of service at all times.

Our ideal candidate will have supervisory/management experience and have worked with the general public in a customer services role. They will be a dynamic, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with excellent telephone and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational and IT skills are essential.

The post holder must be able to work accurately and effectively under pressure be able to effectively prioritise competing demands.

NHS/primary care experience is desirable but not essential.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Reception team, including call handling, repeat prescriptions and front desk services, ensuring an efficient, effective and patient focused service.

Rota management and administrative and management tasks on behalf of the Practice & Operational Manager, thereby assisting in the smooth running of the practice.
