Essex Lodge Surgery is looking
for a part-time Salaried / Sessional GP (up to 4 sessions per week) to join our
friendly team. This a permanent position, subject to review with 6 months
provisional period.
Essex Lodge Surgery serves a
population of just over 17,000 patients from diverse backgrounds. We are a
forward thinking, progressive and a training practice, constantly working to
improve standards, the patient journey and clinical outcomes. We have a strong
ethos of teaching and training, and you will be welcomed into our large Primary
Care team. Our clinical workforce
consists of 2 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, 2 sessional GP, 1 GP Registrar, 1
Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 1 Nurse Prescriber, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Health
Care Assistant, 4 clinical pharmacist, 1 Paramedic, 1 physiotherapist and 1
Social Prescriber. This clinical team is supported by a managerial, admin and
reception team.
You will become part of our busy clinical team and strive to ensure our
patients receive the best possible service from the Practice. Every clinical
and administrative member of staff is encouraged to develop professionally. The
GPs have been supported and encouraged to specialise; each has their own
interest e.g. Minor Surgery, Dermatology, Diabetes, Pediatrics and Womens
health.

Main duties of the job
As a GP at Essex Lodge Surgery, your primary
duties involve delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. This includes
diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, managing chronic illnesses,
and promoting preventive healthcare measures. You'll collaborate on Quality
Improvement (QI) projects aimed at enhancing the quality and effectiveness of
our services. Additionally, you'll contribute to our status as a
teaching practice by mentoring medical students and trainee GPs. Improving access
to healthcare services is another key aspect of your role, achieved through
innovative appointment scheduling and exploring alternative consultation
methods like online consultations. GPs at Essex Lodge Surgery also participate in multidisciplinary
team meetings, maintain accurate medical records, and stay updated on current
medical guidelines and research. We're committed to supporting our salaried GPs

Please also note that Essex Lodge Surgery (London, E13 0AS) has is located within 10 minutes (0.5 miles) walking distance from Plaistow Underground Station. Bus Stops are also located in front of our Surgery on both sides of the road serving Bus route numbers 262 & 473. We also have limited car parking facilities at our Surgery for patients, visitors and staff members.

Practice opening Hours are between Monday 7.30am to 7.00pm, Tuesday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:30pm and Saturday 08:00am to 1:00pm.
