Job summary
Blacketts Medical Practice in Darlington is looking for an
enthusiastic, forward-thinking salaried GP to join our team, following the
retirement of one of our salaried GPs. We are looking for someone to work around 6 sessions a week from August 2024 and are happy to be flexible about
how this is done.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a motivated individual who wants to provide
excellent patient care in a supportive and friendly working environment. You
will be well supported to develop special interests. Current doctors carry out minor
surgery, joint injections and women's health amongst other things.
We train GP trainees, F2 doctors and medical students and there
will be plenty of opportunities to gain teaching and
mentoring experience and have a good practice ethic supporting all
doctors.
About us
We are a successful practice with a list size of around 11,000
patients. We have 5 partners and 2 salaried
doctors, an excellent nursing team, and a stable, friendly and efficient
administration team. We score highly for QOF and were rated
"good" in our last CQC inspection. We are a SystmOne practice.
We have spacious purpose-built premises in the
centre of Darlington, which also houses private physiotherapy and chiropody
services. Our space means that we are able to provide rooms for social
prescribers, pharmacy technicians and mental health workers, which enables us
to work closely with them to provide excellent patient care.
