Job summary
We are looking for a registered nurse who ideally has worked in a
Primary Care setting and has research experience, although training will be
given to the right candidate.
We have a 37.5 hour post, Band 6, Pay depending on experience for a
nurse who is interested in promoting research in Liverpool.

We are looking for an individual who can play an active part in patient
recruitment as well as providing support to the research nurses in the
locality in addition to providing patient care as a General Practice Nurse
The post holder will also be responsible for developing research in
practices within LiverpoolCCG, mainly the practices of Central Liverpool
Primary Care Network, in addition to providing practice nurse duties at Vauxhall Primary Health Care
This role is seen as a developmental opportunity for the right
individual to workalongsidethe current Research/Practice Nurse
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the delivery of
general practice nursing to the whole practice population. The focus of the
role is both the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients presenting
with a long term condition, and the provision of preventative health care to
the practice population. As an autonomous practitioner the nurse is responsible
for the care delivered, demonstrating critical thinking and skills in clinical
decision-making in the management of patients.
The post holder is responsible
for the delivery of research projects within some of the General Practices in Liverpool
CCG, primarily the practices of Central Liverpool Primary Care Network. This
post will be funded by the NIHR Clinical Research Network North West Coast (NW
CRN) with Vauxhall Primary Health Care acting as your employer. You will be clinically supported both in
house by the Research team and through the NW CRN. The research role will
involve the recruitment, education and monitoring of trial patients and the
collection and documentation of accurate data. The post holder will be
responsible for the development and promotion of research, and the support of
other research nurses in practices within the Liverpool locality. The post
holder will be part of a locality based team and networking and CPD
opportunities will be available. The post holder should be a car driver and
have access to a car.
