Job summary
Salaried GP 6 session per week

We are flexible about sessions and start date and willing to wait for the right candidate. Ideally we would like Tuesday, Thursday and Friday but this can be negotiated. We would encourage development of personal interests and actively support career and leadership development.
Main duties of the job
We are a purpose-built, well established GMS training practice with a list size of 9K seeking to recruit an enthusiastic GP who shares our commitment to high quality patient-centred care. We have a very good reputation locally as a supportive training practice and would be a perfect fit for a newly qualified GP in their first 5 years of independent practice.
About us
- 6 partners, 1 salaried GP. We have a strong focus on equitable work-load sharing and are happy to provide contact details of our salaried colleague for an informal chat. Very low staff turnover (our outgoing salaried doctor was with us for 12 years).
- Training practice for speciality trainee GPs, F2 trainees and medical students with excellent feedback.
- Strong collaborative working links within PCN (our partner Dr Hassan is PCN CD), CCG and Federation.
- MDT support- practice based pharmacist (independent prescriber), mental health link worker, first contact practitioner, medical assistants and care coordinator support all available on the premises.
- Well managed with strong administrative support and as a result the admin workload for GPs is low.
- Low home visiting rate
- High QOF achiever.
- CQC rated “good” in all areas.
- Manage 2 residential homes with dedicated weekly ward rounds.
- EMIS Web, paper light.
- Weekly educational and clinical meetings

Job description
Job responsibilities
Working with the practice team to provide comprehensive primary care general medical services to our practice population. Patient consultations are a mix of e-consults, telephone calls and face to face appointments, there are also occasional home visits.
Ensuring all patient communication is accurately recorded and coded on EMIS keeping the electronic patient record up to date.
Share of daily tasks including paperwork, electronic correspondence and prescriptions are completed which can be variable depending on the day. On-call in rotation with other GPs.
