Carmel Medical Practice are
currently recruiting for a Salaried General Medical Practitioner to help
deliver our vision of high-quality medical services at our well-established,
progressive, friendly practice team in Darlington.
We offer a flexible
approach to division of roles and responsibilities within our small friendly
and experienced practice team. The clinical teams are also well supported by an
excellent administration and management team; this allows our GPs to
concentrate on clinical work.
We are looking for
an enthusiastic experienced GP looking to take a leading role in improving
patients outcomes and contributing towards redesigning services locally by
representing the practice at PCN level.

Main duties of the job
Provide a range of medical services as defined in the core contract, additional and enhanced services where appropriate.
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting
problems whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare works within
the organisation.
Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and
undiagnosed problems
Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line
with current practice; disease management protocols, provide counselling and
health education
Work within local policy for prescribing
Be available and accessible to patients
Maximise effective use of current clinical computer systems. Record
clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
Compile and issue computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions
Support the development of the practice in training GP's and nursing students
Provide Free certification in line with Schedule 9 of the GMS
regulations (1992)
Provide emergency cover if needed

Team comprising 4 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 2 Nurse Practitioners, along with an experienced and diverse allied healthcare team. The Practice is also a GP Training Practice.

- Full GMC registration, inclusion on the NHS England Performers List, and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Tier 2 sponsership considered.
