Job summary

We are looking for a GP Receptionist to join our large friendly Medical Practice looking after approximately 13,500 patients.

We have two surgery sites, one based at Knebworth and the other in Stevenage. You may be asked to work at either of these sites. You may also be asked to be flexible with your shift patterns as needed.

System One experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a friendly, helpful candidate that will be responsible for meeting and greeting patients and assisting them with our new appointment system and delivering excellent customer service. You will be answering the telephone and assisting patients in this way also. The Candidate needs to be a good listener, be empathetic and as helpful as they can be, especially to those patients that may need a little extra assistance. They will also help with any general queries and also a variety of administration work needing to be processed throughout the day.

Desirable

  • Experience working with System One would be preferable but not essential as training will be given. Experience working in a GP Practice would be desirable also, but not essential. Having previous experience with a public facing role would be preferable and also ability with computer use.
