Main duties of the job
Deliver holistic and comprehensive, patient-centred nursing care, including the management of long-term conditions such as asthma, diabetes, COPD, and hypertension.
Administer childhood and adult immunisations and vaccinations in accordance with national guidelines.
Provide wound care, dressings, cervical cytology, and NHS Health Checks.
Promote health and wellbeing through lifestyle advice and health education.
Support minor illness clinics and collaborate with GPs and other healthcare professionals as needed.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records using clinical systems.
Contribute to clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.

- Provide holistic nursing care to registered patients, including the management of chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, COPD, and hypertension.
- Administer childhood and adult immunisations and vaccinations in line with national protocols.
- Deliver wound care, dressings, cervical cytology, and NHS Health Checks.
- Promote healthy lifestyles through patient education and health promotion initiatives.
- Support minor illness clinics and assist GPs with clinical duties as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using clinical systems.
- Participate in clinical audits and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.
Health & Safety:
The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others health, safety and security as defined in the Practice Health & Safety Policy, to include:
- Using personal security systems within the workplace according to Practice guidelines
- Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks
- Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills
- Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards. Reporting potential risks identified
