Job summary

St Johns Medical Centre is located in the market town of Altrincham within the borough of Trafford, Greater Manchester. We are a friendly practice looking to recruit a full or part time Head Receptionist.

Main duties of the job

  • Perform all the duties of a receptionist
  • Managing the reception team Managing recruitment and the induction process for new receptionist.
  • Complete reception rotas ensuring all duties are covered
  • Monitor practice reception procedures and advise on changes
  • Ensure the reception area is kept tidy at all times.
  • Complete all receptionist appraisals on a yearly basis and reviews for new receptionist.
  • Complete return to work interviews for the reception team.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Office Manager or Practice Manager.
  • Deal with patient complaints regarding reception, appointments or prescriptions.

About us

We have a clinical team of 9 GP Partners, 6 Salaried GP's, 4 Practice Nurses, 2 HCA's & 1 Phlebotomist, all supported by a large reception and admin team.

Job responsibilities

Main Duties of a Head Receptionist

  • Keeping the reception area tidy and free from obstructions and clutter
  • Ensure patient confidentiality
  • Complete annual mandatory training
