The Lakes Medical Practice would like to welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified GPs to join our friendly team. We are an Innovative, supportive, CQC outstanding rated training practice with an increasing list size of around 11000. We are also an integral part of a forward-thinking Primary Care Network of 10 practices.
There is Potential for flexibility around days / sessions worked for the right candidate to offer excellent work-life balance. We are seeking applications from those who wish to work up to 6 sessions per week.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
In accordance with the Practice rota, the post-holder will be available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence
About us
We are an an Innovative Multi-Disciplinary Partnership currently made up of; GP & Senior Nurse, supported by a Practice Manager.
Our practice clinical team are made up of: salaried GPs, Nurse Practitioner, Physicians Associate, Paramedic, Practice Nurses, HCA's and Phlebotomist. Local knowledgeable administrators. Very supportive of professional development / portfolio career. Weekly team clinical discussion for peer support.
We are also part of Eden PCN with integrated care of the aging team, care co-ordinators, first contact physio, social prescribers for young people as well as adults.

• Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
• Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
• Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
• In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health
• Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
• Collecting data for audit purposes
• Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
