JOB TITLE:
Administrator

POSITION
REPORTS TO: Administration Manager
JOB PURPOSE
SUMMARY: To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the
Administration Manager, Management and the rest of the Ridgeway Team.
To take ownership of relevant tasks and projects to ensure they are
completed to a high level of quality in a timely manner.
To be aware of and follow patient confidentiality and other practice
protocols at all times.
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scanning/filing patient information and documents
in electronic and paper records
Dealing with telephone queries/requests from
patients, and acting as liaison with clinical staff as necessary
Summarising patient notes
Providing administrative support for clinical
referrals
Monitoring and coordinating practice email accounts
Assisting the practice team in achieving agreed
targets and goals
Maintaining patient electronic medical record and
accessing information when required
Perform searches and audits when required
Photocopying
Dealing with incoming and outgoing post/faxes
Effective communication with other team and
practice staff members
Effectively manage own time, workload and resources
Any other duties as required by the management and
Partners
PERSONAL/PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
The post-holder will participate in any relevant
training programmes implemented by the practice as part of this employment:
Participation in an annual individual performance
review
Taking responsibility for own development, learning
and performance and demonstrating skills and activities to others where
appropriate.
The job description will be reviewed after 6 months with the post
holder, and may be amended following discussion.

Receptionist
BASED AT: The Ridgeway

POSITION
REPORTS TO: Reception Manager
JOB PURPOSE
SUMMARY: To provide efficient and effective front line services to patients,
clinicians and other stakeholders.
To project a friendly and helpful image to patients and other visitors
at all times in person, telephone and other communication methods.
To take ownership of relevant tasks and projects to ensure they are
completed to a high level of quality in a timely manner.
To be aware of and follow patient confidentiality and other practice
protocols at all times.
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dealing with patient queries and requests via
face-to-face, telephone, email and other forms of contact.
Processing and allocating prescriptions in
conjunction with the clinical team
Providing front line services to our walk-in centre
and branch surgery
Processing patient registrations and deductions on
the practice list
Maintaining patients electronic medical records and
accessing information when required
Contact patients for recalls and follow-ups as
required by the practice team
Booking patient transport, interpreter and other
relevant services
Photocopying
Dealing with incoming and outgoing post/faxes
Effective communication with other team and
practice staff members
Effectively manage own time, workload and resources
Any other duties as required by the management and
