Job summary

Due to the retirement of our current Practice Manager we are seeking a new manager to lead our dedicated team of clinical & non-clinical staff. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent managerial, organisational, leadership and business skills to fulfil this diverse role. They will also need to be able to adapt to the changing and challenging NHS environment and be able to prioritise workload, as this role is central to enabling the practice to deliver high quality care

Interviews will be held on Thursday 25th May 2023

Main duties of the job

The post holder will proactively lead the practice to deliver high standards of care through effective management and team working.

This will cover a range of areas including, but not exclusively,

  • strategic planning both for the practice and in conjunction with partner organisations
  • financial management
  • IT & data quality
  • an active role within the local Primary Care Network
  • delivering contractual obligations and quality targets
  • building a cohesive, happy, balanced workforce

About us

We are a semi-rural practice based on the northern edge of the Lake District in Cumbria. We have a diverse population and care for just under 9000 patients. We have a modern spacious building with a variety of services that run from within it, including Dental services, Podiatry and practice based Mental Health Practitioner and First Contact Physiotherapy.

We are a compassionate and friendly team who are highly motivated & forward thinking, always striving for the highest clinical standards.
