Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a hardworking, enthusiastic, reliable new admin assistant who has great patient care and interpersonal skills to join our friendly Practice team.

Main duties of the job

  • Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in an effective, efficient and professional manner in line with the Practices guidelines, procedures and protocols
  • Ensure an effective and efficient service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the Practice
  • Undertake general office and reception duties including front desk, telephone and email.
  • Liaise with outside agencies/services
  • Support colleagues and be a team player
  • Respect confidentiality and data protection rules
  • Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way

About us

We are a two GP partner Practice with a current list size of over 6,000 patients. Our Practice team also includes two salaried GP's, two Practice Nurses, three HCA's and eight admin assistants.

We pride ourselves on patient care, effective communication, taking responsibility, accountability, professionalism, teamwork, trust and mutual respect for patients and work colleagues.

Summary - To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to supporting the administration team with patient registration, booking appointments, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner and in accordance with Practice policies.

Support staff with the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as Secondary Care and Community Service providers.
