Job summary

Newhall Surgery is looking for a dynamic and motivated Team Leader to join our Management Team which consists of a Practice Manager, Management Assistant, Patient Services Team Leader and Patient Liaison and Communications Team Leader. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal, organisational, IT and management skills, be a team player, helping to shape the face of the Practice but also being a proactive leader being involved in and playing a key part in managing change and development within the organisation.

Interviews will take place on 25 / 26 April 2023.

Main duties of the job

The Operations Team Leader role is key to the success of the practice with regard to the patient pathway. The successful implementation of our rotas and entering of key data is of paramount importance to the Practice.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the efficient management and direction of the administration and streamlining team. Responsible for rota implementation and management, enhanced services, ensuring compliance and achievement of the Quality and Outcomes Framework and the Investment and Impact Fund in conjunction with the Practice Manager. Monitoring of staff sickness and holiday, staff training, team appraisals and other IT responsibilities are all part of this exciting role.

About us

Newhall Surgery has a list size of approximately 10,500 patients. We have an active Patient Participation Group and endeavour to liaise well within the local community. We are active on Facebook and have good reviews within NHS Choices.

Our clinical staff consists of 3 GP Partners, 4 GPs, Nurse Manager, Nurse Prescriber, Practice Nurse, Trainee Nurse Associate and an HCA. Senior Pharmacist, Pharmacist and a Health & Wellbeing Coach.

We also have committed and professional administrative, secretarial and patient services team members, plus our dedicated and professional Management Team.

We are a friendly Practice who believe that communication, team working, well-being and learning are vital to the success of our organisation. We also have two 'get togethers' per year to help support our internal communication processes and the feeling of 'family' within the organisation.

The Partners are very supportive of staff and place a high value on their learning and development.
