Job summary

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact across all areas of the UK and indeed the world.

Central & West Warrington Primary Care Network is now looking for a person with fantastic organisational and IT skills, to co-ordinate the smooth day-to-day running of our COVID vaccination clinics.

This is the largest immunisation programme of our time, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the dynamic vaccination team to deliver a safe and effective service, for the delivery of this mass vaccination project. You will work with our existing team of 5 coordinators.

Main duties of the job

Duties to include:

  • Open up clinic and ensure clinic is set up for the day
  • Ensure technology working
  • Ensure vaccinators have correct equipment
  • Attend daily morning brief and update new staff on procedure (e.g. fire exits, clinic logistics, expected patients for the day)
  • Report any issues to leadership team in line with escalation policy
  • Ensure any clinic marshals / volunteers on site understand their role
  • Arrive patients
  • Screen patients on arrival
  • Update clinical records
  • Contact patients to book them into clinic
  • Stock ordering
  • Ensure SOP, Information Governance and Health & Safety policies are adhered to

A good competency with IT is also essential, however system specific training will be provided. The role requires a high degree of flexibility and may include the need to work early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends.
