Job summary

Stowhealth is looking to recruit a Medical Data Administrator.

This role will involve a wide range of jobs within our Medical data administration team. We are ideally seeking someone with previous experience in this field who will enjoy working within an established team. You will need to be extremely organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to multi task. Confidentiality is essential.

This role is part time, 18 hours per week, for further information please see the attached job description. The salary for this role is£20000 to £21000 a year pro rata.

Shortlisting will take place on 12th April with interviews week commencing 17th April. The interview panel will consist of a minimum of 2 people.

Main duties of the job

  • Enter patient details from the New Patient Questionnaire
  • Record Sharing consent and Summary Care record information
  • Scan information onto patient medical records
  • Read Coding relevant information onto the clinical system to include relevant QOF data and clinical information
  • Entering data onto patient medical records e.g. DNRs, smears, ECGs, vaccination etc.

Job responsibilities

Job Summary:

The main responsibilities of the post holder will be to ensure timely, accurate and consistent recording of the clinical information onto the surgery computer system.

Working as part of a team you will required to undertake any of the jobs listed below.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enter patient details from the New Patient Questionnaire
  • Record Sharing consent and Summary Care record information
  • Scan information onto patient medical records
  • Read Coding relevant information onto the clinical system to include relevant QOF data and clinical information
  • Entering data onto patient medical records e.g. DNRs, smears, ECGs, vaccination etc.
  • Enter daily BP readings on to the patient record
  • Calculate and enter 2day HBPM results as per Stowhealth protocol
  • Summarise New Patient LG/electronic records
  • Action and process tasks internally to Stowhealth and from third parties, to include degrade data from GP2GP transfers
  • File pathology results as per Stowhealth protocol
  • Transfer process and read code correspondence in accordance with the coding protocol
  • Process cx smear non-responders on Open Exeter
  • Action the OOH tasks as per Stowhealth protocol
  • Collate and enter chronic disease management information for LTC ensuring recalls are kept up to date.
  • Enter new diagnosed DM patients on to the Retinal Screening Hub data base
  • Undertake clinical searches and audits as requested.
  • Providing cover for annual and sickness leave
  • Undertaking other reasonable duties within the framework of the post as directed by the Practice Manager.
