Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner looking for an exciting new challenge?
At Derby Road Practice we pride ourselves in being a well-established, friendly, flexible, forward thinking primary care team. As part of Suffolk Primary Care, we look after over 18,700 patients. We have 2 sites, based in the heart of Ipswich, with close travel links to the beautiful Suffolk countryside and the Suffolk coast.
We are looking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team of 1 ANP nurse manager, 3 ANPs, 3 practice nurses, 1 apprentice nursing associate and 2 HCAs.
This role is offered on a part time basis however full time hours will be considered. If you are right for us, we will make it right for you.
We have developed our unique GP-PA hub a team of highly skilled care navigators and duty doctors working together to triage all incoming requests.
We use the Ask My GP online consultation service allowing us to manage our own workload with control over face to face appointment lengths and timings.
We have a large multi-skilled multidisciplinary team of ANPs, a paramedic, pharmacists and pharmacy tech to support the wider clinical team
We were recently rated outstanding in Well Led, Good in all other areas by CQC
We have an efficient care navigation and administrative team to support all the staff in patient care.
Shortlisting will be on 18th September with interviews on 26th September.
The interview panel will consist of a minimum of 2 people.
Main duties of the job
Work within professional boundaries to accurately examine and assess patients with an undifferentiated diagnosis, from a physiological, psychological and social perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly.
Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating both drug and non-drug-based treatment methods into a management plan.
Seek advice and support from a senior clinician as appropriate to inform decision making around patient care.
Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
Review medication for therapeutic effectiveness appropriate to patient needs, and administer medication in accordance with PGD/ Independent Nurse Prescribing.
