An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Trials Assistant to work in our Research Department within the Dorset Clinic Research Centre (DCRC).
This is an opportunity to join the research team to help deliver commercial & NIHR portfolio studies that is within the pipe-line of the DCRC. We are dedicated to providing high quality, patient centred clinical research. Working in the research team you will join an enthusiastic, driven and caring team, to help provide research across the trust for new and existing studies.
Our team participates in research within many different specialities and areas within the DCRC. Enthusiasm, self-motivation, flexibility and drive will be required to ensure the success of this post. You will be involved in all aspects of the research process from study start-up, recruitment and delivery, to close out of a study. You will need to have an excellent level of written and verbal communication skill and good IT skills. Within this post you will be expected to work as a Clinical Trials Assistant (CTA) but also be flexible at supporting the Data Team in collecting & entering data in a timely fashion which you will be fully trained to deliver this aspect.

You will work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, implementing studies to translate scientific discoveries into improved patient outcomes within the DCRC.
Previous research experience is not necessary as all training and development will be provided, although clinical skills of performing venepuncture and laboratory skills would be advantageous (but not essential).
Along with the relevant and appropriate experience, you will need to demonstrate:
- An interest in clinical research
- Initiative
- Excellent communication skills to provide guidance and support to patients and colleagues
- Good time management skills with the ability to meet a deadline.
