Job summary
The Primary Care Network (PCN), comprises of six GP
Practices serving a large population of central Poole, Dorset and this role
will be pivotal in supporting the delivery of the PCN Care Home Enhanced
service.
We are recruiting for a Service Manager who will be
pivotal in the implementation and ongoing delivery of the PCNs Enhanced Access
to Primary Care and, will have a close working relationship with Practice
Teams.
The role will have responsibility for managing all
aspects of the Enhanced Access plan delivered on behalf of the PCN, which will
include general administration duties and co-ordination of a bank of PCN/
Practice, Locum and temporary staff working within the enhanced hours services
across multiple sites.
The role will also be required to provide a
proportion of on-site management presence during the enhanced hours evenings
and Saturdays initially supporting on the day operational queries,
inducting new starters and handling complaints about the services
The
role will have a strong focus on administrative co-ordination, familiarity and
competency with Primary Care clinical systems, effective liaison and
communication with PCN and Practice teams and confidence in managing staff
rotas and day to day workforce issues.
The
role will also include working with PCN/Practice Teams to produce productivity
reports to demonstrate effective service delivery as part of the PCN
contractual requirements.
Main duties of the job
To be a key member of the
Enhanced Access Project Team supporting the implementation of the additional
PCN component hours.
To work with PCN leads in
developing the Staff Bank and recruiting clinical and non-clinical workforce.
To work with Practice Leads
in developing the Induction plans for new starters, both reception and clinical
staff, to ensure they are they are familiar with the clinical and
administrative and building access and security processes and arrangements for
management oversight.
The role is offered as part time 22.5 hours per week with the expectation that the successful candidate will be able to work their hours flexibly across the week. This may suit someone wanting to work between school hours but there will also be a requirement to have an onsite presence during the evening and Saturday sessions on a rotational basis, to support new staff and ensure familiarisation with operational arrangements.

Visiting working in the community and a range of services focusing on Long Term
Conditions, Clinical Pharmacy, MSK, Dietetics, Mental Health and Self-Management.
We
work collaboratively with partners in health and social care and are currently
developing a number of pathways that involve models if integrated working and
information systems and digital technology have a key part to play in achieving
greater efficiency in how we work.
The
post-holder will be employed through The Adam Practice (Lead Practice) on
