Job summary

We are a friendly and supportive general practice team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We have a list size of 11,000 patients and are based in modern premises in Chesham town centre.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic administrator to join our support team. Ideally you will have a good understanding of GP contractual requirements, including QoF, IIF and LES/DES and knowledge of clinical coding.

Working hours are 20 per week.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the administration team, your main responsibilities will be to ensure that we meet our contractual obligations (including QoF, IIF, LES/DES) through effective collection and reporting processes.

You will work closely with both our clinical and admin teams to ensure optimal performance against our contractual and clinical targets.

About us

We are a stable six-partner practice supported by an excellent, dedicated team of nurses and admin/reception team. We also have additional clinical support from a Pharmacist, Physiotherapist and ANP.

We are a busy, friendly surgery and are passionate about providing the best care for our patients. As a result of our dedicated team our patient feedback is extremely positive.

Job responsibilities

Job summary

To provide administrative support to the Practice Manager and clinicians with regards to accurate data collection for clinical reporting and performance achievements (eg QoF, Enhanced Services and any other initiatives).

In addition, the post holder will also support the multi-disciplinary team, providing administrative support as required, in line with the needs of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

The following are the core responsibilities of this role. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

Plan, minute and lead monthly contract meeting with Practice Manager/partners to review the status of all existing and anticipated workflows (eg QoF, IIF, Enhanced Services) and take forward any action points that arise in these meetings

Monitor the status of all contractual requirements and alert Practice Manager/partners of any new schemes or changes to existing requirements eg changes to coding requirements, audit requirements

Use of the Ardens Case Finders resources to improve practice prevalence within existing QoF registers

Run call and recall systems for routine work, seasonal work and one-off projects as required

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly audits and data submissions as requested by the Practice Manager

Support the team in the use of the clinical systems, including helping with the development and maintenance of clinical templates and clinical protocols

Build and run search and audit reports as requested
