Job summary

Enthusiastic and Motivated Salaried GP - 1 full time or 2 part time.

We have a strong teaching ethos, teaching medical students, trainee registrars and nursing students. There is a great opportunity for the right candidate to take on a new medical student teaching group or to expand our current GP trainer team to three.

Clinicians are encouraged to develop areas of expertise, we have GPs with an interest in Dermatology, Womens health, ENT and Musculoskeletal medicine.

Diabetes service covering both initiation and maintenance.

Anticoagulation services, Minor Surgery and LARC services.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations & emergencies, telephone consultations and queries, triaging, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, filing & actioning test results, patient medical reports and examinations, referral letters NHS/private/e-referral, paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner
  • Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
  • Potentially out-of-hours (OOH) (where applicable) and extended hours as agreed by the partnership, including alternative sites.
  • Prescribing in accordance with locally/nationally agreed guidelines
  • In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care;
  • Maintaining a personal professional portfolio;
  • A commitment to cover annual leave within the practice for each other (Lead Partner and Salaried GPs);

  • A commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice (including annual appraisals and revalidation);

  • On occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks commensurate with the role, dependent upon factors such as workload & staffing levels.

2 sites; Main Surgery situated within a new build at Hume Street in Kidderminster. Recently modernised branch site in rural Cookley. Part of a fantastic local network delivering many successful services ARRS physiotherapists, pharmacists, social prescribers and care home team.
